Papa and the Girls!

The girls absolutely loving living by their Papa. They terribly miss rexburg and ask everyday if grandma is coming to visit. But thanks to Papa they enjoy living here FINALLY!!!!

Every week they go out on a little date with either grandpa and just love being the stars of his day.

Three weeks ago they attempted to go see a movie. When i say attempted that is exactly what i mean.... they tried to see the movie Isa just HAD TO SEE   "Where the Wild things are" but it was only 20 minutes into the movie before it got to scarey. So next they tried a holiday favorite, "The Christmas Carol" but it wasn't like Barbie's version and the marley guy (as they call him) was WAY TO SPOOKY! So Papa got a refund and brought them back home all full of popcorn and m&m's.

The next Saturday My Wonderful Dad took the girls on another Papa date for the day. They hit all the top Places including Cabella's, Barnes and Noble, and McDonalds. It was a fun filled day out with their Grandpa. While at Cabella's the girls batted their eyes and gave their cute dimpled smiles while looking around and of course came home with new stuffed animals. Layla fell in love with a "turkey". Most of the world would call him a fezent, but no Layla calls him a turkey. He even makes noise and her response is "well mom sometimes he talks like this and other times he just says gobble gobble." And the best thing about 5 year olds is that they say everything so matter of factly.

Last their time at McDonalds was wonderful until layla had to choose between holding on her her buddy (aka stuffed animal) or turning at the end of the slide as not to ram her knee into her face.... can you tell what she chose?

This photo was taken 5 days after the accident so trust me it was huge and worse.

Yesterday I had a baby shower for my friend at my mom's house so My dad took the girls on their weekly date. This time he did his research and took the girls to see Planet 51. And with a little pep talk with the girls before explaining that it will be like Wall-e and might make them nervous sometimes but hold out it will get better they made it through the entire movie.

Who knows what next week will bring. The girls are totally loving their papa and I think he kind of likes them too. He is a sucker of girls, he always has been for me and now even more for my little mini me's.

My final photos are from thanksgiving when the girls spent 30 minutes dancing with papa while the rest of us cooked! I LOVE IT!!!!

  1. Oh! Layla's poor eye. Ouch! At least she saved her buddy though, right? I love the pictures dancing with your dad. It's so great to see kids love their grandparents. There's just something very special about them loving your parents as much as you do.
