Christmas Morning

I am off to cook a ton of christmas food and head over to my parents for presents. But I thought I would give you the big reveal with the house. I will have to take more close ups once the girls actually move a foot away from it. They are in heaven and nothing is better on christmas morning than giggles and laughs from your kids HAPPILY PLAYING TOGETHER!!!! It is the best christmas yet!

Barbie house

So we have begun building our Barbie house and I have to say I am impressed. There will be three full floors and a two room attic. The house it tall about 58+inches. And it is currently under interior remodeling. Today we put in carpet and vinyl flooring along with finishing up the interior paint.

Last night I refurbished the twin beds, living room couch and chairs, and the living room coffee table. I am almost done with the dresser. I have throw pillows, side tables and a kitchen set to do tonight but I am so excited. It is looking good. Here are some photos of the refurbishings but you have to wait for the house like the girls.

The Bergstrom Family Nutcracker Featurets

In dance class the girls practiced their ballet section to the Nutcracker music. I loved it a ton and it was so fun I had to share!

I was very sad that I did not get the whole dance thanks to no room on the memory card but the bit I did get is so cute. I LOVE WATCHING ISA DANCE!!! She is so reserved!

Probably half of you have facebook and have already read my year's status updates, but I thought for those you don't I would post a little recap of my year!

And she takes her performances so serious which is cute!

My little Nutcracker Girls!

The girls had their last class/ performance yesterday. It was too adorable for words. Here are the girls with their classes and they are dressed for their Nutcracker performances. 

I was jealous they got to play pretty girls. I on the other hand remember performing as a mouse, soldier and once man for the opening dance/christmas party section. I don't like to share the videos from that time, sad dancing memories but I did have fun. 

I am proud of the girls they have natural talent and love to dance. They work hard and soon I think I will actually train them instead of simply letting them play around. I think they are perfect ballerinas and I hope they enjoy it as much as I did and still do! 

Just a little something to munch on!

These beautiful tins are filled with the yummiest snack ever. Around our house it is called Christmas mix. It is a chex kind of mix but SO MUCH BETTER! Plus it uses up our Wic cereal that always needs to be rotated in our food storage! I hate old cereal it gets hard! Anyways I will post the recipe at the bottom so those not 

 I made a tin for all of Brian's professors and the secretary for the Grad School. They were excited and I was glad to do something nice!

Christmas Mix

3 cups Rice Chex Cereal
3 cups Corn Chex Cereal

3 cups Cheerios Cereal

3 cups Golden Graham Cereal

1-2 cups Pretzel sticks

1 cup peanuts

1 bag holiday M&M's

Mix it all together and then melt one brick of Vanilla Almond Bark and pour on top. You will need to mix it in a big bowl and turn up good so everything is coated. Then you spread out on wax paper to cool. Then simply put into Ziploc bags until you are ready to eat or package! We always give them away in the bag inside tins or decorative bags so it is easy to eat! 

Much awaited refashion post

Okay about a half dozen of my refashions I will post later when I can take photos of me wearing them and then you can actually see how cute they are. You just won't get it unless they are on. But for most here is my refashion heaven reveal.

It all started when I saw this post on Make it and Love it I thought the shirt was so stinking cute. But I am so scared of messing up my clothes by sewing on them that I dug and dug until I found the perfect shirt. Bright pink and has a big hole above the boob. Not so cute! So I pulled out material scraps and searched for a match. And then I remembered that my mom gave me my grandmother's old t-shirts thinking I would wear them. Not that i am too good for my grandma's hand me downs it is just that she weights 85 pounds and lets just say i am much more than that. So I dove in and cut up my shirt.

I followed the basics of the tutorial found above except i just used one small circle pattern, the size of my kitchen glasses, and made 18 circles. You need 6 for each flower. And I am not a "neat" seamstress so i made it more freehand. (P.S. on the wish list for christmas is one of those free form machine foots!)

Also I went to a Super Saturday a several weeks ago for our ward and help teach the bow making station. Basically that meant I sat and chatted with my friend Whitney until one or two made their way over. But I did learn a few tricks to add to my knowledge bank about bow making. Here are a bunch of bows I made for myself.

I am not a big fan of fixing my hair all neat and tidy. Basically i just grab a handful of hair and start pinning. I then make sure it isn't too tight around my face and maybe pull out a loose stand to neatly graze my face. I love long hair for one reason, I can make my shampoo last a good 3 or 4 days with this style!

I think instead of doing a fashion blog of me because lets face it I am just learning what my style is, I will simply do an Isa Fashion post every time i get a good shot. Really she is amazing at put together her favorite items no matter how much or little they match!

I'm Lazy part two

Miss Isa keeps us busy. From the flu to her fashion you just never know with her!

This year Santa came to OUR grocery story for free pictures. Helped me miss Rexburg a little less. Plus you get an all you can eat breakfast for 2 bucks!

She explained that she wanted a Barbie house. Thank goodness Daddy is already getting started. Little does she know Mom and Dad get to do the good present, we are putting Santa in charge of the small stuff this year!
