I was talking to my wonderful mother in law last night and realized I have not really posted anything in a long time. You know how it is getting settled into a new house basically you get lost in the thick of it and forget what is going on in the real world outside your home. Anyways that has been me the past three weeks.
So I will attempt to catch up with pictures and videos for those we love who miss us almost as much as we miss them!!!
This is what my life looks like most days. There are bags and toys in random places and kids ALWAYS dressed as princesses. I don't know how I will get layla to school next year without frills and beads.
Now the girls big thing last week, note I said last week because EVERY week it is something new, was tea parties. As you can tell I am lazy and sit in my cozy chair and nod off once in a while. However I will have you know that I did well that day because not only am I wearing a bra after 6 pm but I also have on jeans instead of sweats! Like I said I don't leave the house much!
Somehow or another every day my house is filled with yelling and song. Usually one leads to the other and it goes both ways. Isa loves to yell at Layla. She looks like me when she does it too. She gets a tense and upset trying to "talk" it out until finally she pops and she is yelling so loud that after a second or two she forget what is was originally mad about and tells layla off for the last week of annoying circumstances. I hate when you see yourself acted out in a young one. Always makes you feel awful. So that is what the two of us are working on... getting frustrated with Layla.
On to the singing. Both girls have this new game called "what's that" also knows as "name that tune" They hum a song and then expect us to figure it out. They love to listen to me hum because I am the only one in the family that can carry a tune so they get it right on the first guess most every time.
When Layla hums you have to listen carefully because you will hear at least a line sung just perfect. Isa no no she makes up tunes and sometimes uses the same on for multiple songs. It is fine when she sings words because you can play what are the words past the made up tune. But when all you get is a hum we always lose. Which of course makes her the winner and you can see where that goes.... tears! (always tears)
