More farmstead!

I am tired so I will post more later!

I love the girls picking out the pumpkins. Isa found one almost as big as herself. Layla is really thinking it over and deciding which is best with that sassy hand on a hip!

last dance

more dancing videos

Just for Grandma

I love watching kids dance. So these are just for Kathy. Enjoy the many dances from your little girls!

Update on our life!

I was talking to my wonderful mother in law last night and realized I have not really posted anything in a long time. You know how it is getting settled into a new house basically you get lost in the thick of it and forget what is going on in the real world outside your home. Anyways that has been me the past three weeks.

So I will attempt to catch up with pictures and videos for those we love who miss us almost as much as we miss them!!!

This is what my life looks like most days. There are bags and toys in random places and kids ALWAYS dressed as princesses. I don't know how I will get layla to school next year without frills and beads.

Now the girls big thing last week, note I said last week because EVERY week it is something new, was tea parties. As you can tell I am lazy and sit in my cozy chair and nod off once in a while. However I will have you know that I did well that day because not only am I wearing a bra after 6 pm but I also have on jeans instead of sweats! Like I said I don't leave the house much!

Somehow or another every day my house is filled with yelling and song. Usually one leads to the other and it goes both ways. Isa loves to yell at Layla. She looks like me when she does it too. She gets a tense and upset trying to "talk" it out until finally she pops and she is yelling so loud that after a second or two she forget what is was originally mad about and tells layla off for the last week of annoying circumstances. I hate when you see yourself acted out in a young one. Always makes you feel awful. So that is what the two of us are working on... getting frustrated with Layla.

On to the singing. Both girls have this new game called "what's that" also knows as "name that tune" They hum a song and then expect us to figure it out. They love to listen to me hum because I am the only one in the family that can carry a tune so they get it right on the first guess most every time.

When Layla hums you have to listen carefully because you will hear at least a line sung just perfect. Isa no no she makes up tunes and sometimes uses the same on for multiple songs. It is fine when she sings words because you can play what are the words past the made up tune. But when all you get is a hum we always lose. Which of course makes her the winner and you can see where that goes.... tears! (always tears)

anyone else having trouble

Okay so I am trying to figure out why I have been cut off from the world. Blogger is about the only thing I can get to work the last couple days. Gmail is down so i can't check my email, which means I can't see which netflix movie is on its way. And for a girl who LOVES tv and has no cable it is a big deal.

I also can't get facebook to work so besides this blog I have no way of asking friends if they are having trouble too. I could use the phone but you know how it is with kids they are so STINKING LOUD I can't hear myself think at times let alone hear someone on the other end of my dying phone!

So anyone anyone having trouble like me contacting the outside world! P.S. Kristi if you are reading this I need to get a hold of you today because I want no NEED to come see you and want to get my ticket soon today infact if we can hash out the deals of when! If not no pressure i just miss you and see a bit of sanity in my otherwise insane world!

Finally apart!!!!

Okay for the last 3 and a half years we have been trying to time naps and bedtime around the wild temperaments of two boisterous daughters. Someone is always upset, too wound up, overly tired, or just plain crazy to settle down and let the other kid sleep. NO MORE!!!! Now the girls have their own room... and their own space. I hope that somehow we can keep them apart just long enough for me to enjoy the sweet sound of.....            ......... nothing, ah that is nice!!!!

Here are the girls split up rooms so far. They still need curtains and Isa needs a new cover for the rocking chair but in due time it will be complete! P.S. I LOVE having my mom around because we so have the same taste in home decor and if she doesn't already have it just laying around for me to take, she sure knows where to get a good deal!!!

LAYLA'S TINKERBELL FAIRY PRINCESS BED!!!!
Note the slippers next to the bed... this is a new thing she HAS to do every night.... i think it is adorable!
HER BOOKS!
ISA'S BOOKS
Isa's Humble ABODE!!!
I just love the color of the walls, I think they came out PERFECT!!!

P.P.S. The first thing the girls HAD TO DO when they got their own rooms was find a spot for their Grandma and Keith pictures. They miss them so much that they had to find a special spot. What better place then with their books, they spend most of their time there already!

Big Steps

Okay so the biggest task yet was our closet... we have a lot and had to fit it into a common space... but I get wife of the year award because I indeed shared exactly half the closet!

Next is the girls room that they are sharing until we get Isa's room cleared of boxes.... it isn't what we want but for just beds I think it is pretty cute and gets me exacted on that it will look like finished!

Living Room

Moving.... So excited and totally exhausted. I am taking a 10 minute packing break to gather my brain and thoughts so that I will make sense when Brian gets home. I love that he is such a hard worker and is working overtime lately to help us feel more finacially secure but man I wish he was home. I am packing the house up single handedly and it is making me crazy. I am down to the last crap that doesn't go in any specific box but can't just go anywhere because we need it to be unpacked soon. I hate that last bit crap.... I am tempted to put it in a box labled "last of the crap you absolutely need now!" What do you think?

Anyways I am getting really excited for the big move tomorrow. We got the accent walls painted. They are big and bold and I LOVE THEM. Our living room has dark chocolate to accent our green couches. I love autum colors so that is what our living room/kitchen/dinner area colors are again. For those who knew our rexburg townhome that is what I kept in our living room most of the time.  For our kitchen we are kind of mixing in a mexican theme. We won't have it out all the time but for special company... that is anyone older then the girls, we have tons of mexican dish accents like serving trays and bowls. So I stole from my mom brown and yellow dishes. I LOVE THEM.  It really feels like the house is coming together.

Isa's bedroom wall is purple...it is like a violet blue and I just LOVE IT. Layla has periwinkle which is close enough to blue that it makes her happy but matches her bedroom set perfect. Our bedroom wall is red.... not blood red or maroon but the perfect shade of red to make out room super romantic. We have black and white bedding with little hints of red is pillows and roses. I love it. Well I must get back to work but I will post pictures soon and actually post a little of what we are doing later.

In a nut shell we are WAITING EVER WAITING to hear back about med school... it sucks!
