My little girl is all grown up Part 1

I think after having my baby hand me a note that I can actually read the the "real" words written on it I can admit that my little Isabel is all grown up. She isn't the baby anymore. She is a big girl. Since it is her birthday I am dedicating this post to her. I am going to simply post pictures to go along with reasons why we love her so much. Some of them are sweet memories and others her special quirks that make her the dazzling little girl she is. P.S. this is in two parts because I am tired and it is late but I want to post the first part before the end of her birthday! so HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISA!!!!!

Isabel Tenay Bergstrom Born June 28th 2006 at 5 pounds and 1 ounce huge for a 8 week premature girl. And so her sweet story begins!

Isa is a fighter! She don't get sick often and when she does it doesn't last long. She fights hard to stay strong!
She doesn't miss a thing. This is Isa at two weeks. She was always this alert when she was awake. So not going to miss a thing. I mean that outfit is a preemie one and is falling off her. She was tiny but so not going to sleep through life like most newborns!

She has a tolerance for Layla that surpasses all our expectations. Layla can upset her or bug her or hurt her and she puts up with it SO WELL because she loves her sister. I mean really they have been together since this first picture the day after Isa came home just 11 days old!
She looks up to her sister. She follows Layla every where she goes and watches her to make sure she knows what to do. She depends on Layla to help keep her safe. And I love that they are so close!

She is gorgeous. She has a natural beauty. She is going to be one of those drop dead gorgeous girls who dresses like this everyday. She just throws on a pair of jean and a t-shirt and doesn't think twice about looking in the mirror and is still BEAUTIFUL!
She has the most beautiful eyes. She definitely gets those big crocodile tears that make your heart ache and then she makes your heart melt with a bat of her LONG lashes. We totally are wrapped around her finger!

Her smile, makes you smile!

Here are those tears I mentioned, so sad!
She takes things serious. This is at a stake primary activity. She is coloring her title of liberty flag and is making sure that it is just right. She has such patience for her crafts. She will spend hours on a coloring page. She don't rush her while she completes her 100 piece puzzle... i am serious she is just that patient!

 End of part 1.
Part 2 to come!

Niece number..... I lost count!

So I could probably count to figure out which niece this is but you know I am lazy. I will just called her the gorgeous one. (Not that the rest of my nieces aren't cute but I am totally partial to little ethnically diverse children ya know! And I love my sister and seeing a little rug rat just like her is like seeing one just like me, something I haven't ever seen and is so amazing!)  And this little darling is like a Jon and Kate kid for sure. She is the perfect little white child with all korean features and that combination make one stinking cute kid. I wish I had pictures of her eyes open so you could really get the full effect but for now here are some adorable photos I just love!
I AM SO IN LOVE! So far she is a perfect little angel. And she is small. I think I have a soft heart and love those tiny ones. She was only a half pound  bigger than Isa was. So she is borrowing all the girls preemie clothing. I LOVE IT! She is a tiny little 5 pounds 9 ounces!
So not fair that she is so gorgeous after just giving birth right? She seriously got all the gorgeous preggo pictures I always wanted. But luckily she is my sister so I am glad that at least one of us has them!
I wish you could see those eyes open really they are Mia's perfect little korean eyes so small and dainty!
The girls LOVE their new niece and it will be so fun to have her so close. She has no hope of turning out less than girly living down the street from these drama queens. It will be like Miss Shannon, they will teach her all they know, so I will apologize ahead of time for anything they pick up you wish they hadn't!
Layla is getting pretty good with babies!
And seriously Isa's smile says it all doesn't it?!

new addition

Babies babies, we have another baby in the family. No not me my little sister had her baby. She is the most gorgeous little half korean baby alive. And she is perfectly small and precious. I will get photos of me and the girls with her when we all go back and visit again later. But I am SO IN LOVE with the perfect little 5 pound 9 ounce bundle!

Asked for help.....

Loopy isa after her MRI.

I finally hit that point in the year where everything seems to hit at once and can't catch up. I called my mom and near tears asked for help. So I let go of pride as I handed over eight loads of dirty laundry and brought in three bags of food. With only a couple disrupted hours of sleep these past two weeks I am not myself. I also did something I hate to do, I called to have someone teach my primary class so I can get some sleep.

I know I really should go to church. It took a lot to get me to stay home but breaking down in tears every ten minutes was convincing enough that I have to take care of me to have anything left to give.

Don't get me wrong I will be okay it just has been a hard week. The hospital is not fun to visit EVERY day. But on the happy side Isa did get her MRI results back and she normal. That was a hard phone call to make, hi this is Mrs Bergstrom does my daughter have a brain tumor or not? It has just been that exciting around here. Now we are closer to normal and yet so very far away. You know how it is. Things are better but our whole schedule is changing shifting and I hate change.

Brian's surgery went well and he is healing. He is trying to help but the swollen throat part has hit it's hardest. soon he will be back to normal, home for a little while, and life will be good. We just have to push through till then.

loopy

okay i just have to take a second to report that the MRI went great and Isa is currently enjoying the drug wear off. She is so loopy and wobbly. I have to keep a close eye on her because she is determined that she is normal but after slipping off the chair a dozen times and sliding down the bed I beg to differ. Anyways we will update later when we get the results back.
It is days like today when life is unknown and you are totally overwhelmed that you appreciate the simple carefree days. These pictures are from two weeks ago. We stopped by St. Luke's South and enjoyed some fun family time. Simple time where the kids were kids and everything was good. Don't you just love those days!

Monday, June 14

Well incase you can't tell the girls have started dance class. This is them all geared up for their first class. Now of course Isa was first which meant her nerves got the best of her and she did not go. She got to the building and got shoes on before she realized that we would not be in class with her and when she figured that out it was all done. But Layla was happy to do to class and after she was finished all was good in both their worlds. Luckily Nana took them to class this week so both of them actually went to class. AND they had an awesome time. Anyways these are just so happy pictures that made my day just a little brighter!

I should be cleaning....

I know I know I am slacking on a day I just can't slack. BUT in my defense blogging makes me smile and today is one of those rainy gloomy days that sucks all the smile out of a person. Anyways this week is crazy busy....

Today I have to go to Kohl;s and return and re-buy my clothing. I had $50 Kohl's cash and found a couple things I wanted. I get to the counter and try my luck at a better coupon then my 15% off and what do you know.... 30%!!!!! However when it rings up my purchase it has to take the cash first THEN the coupon... and my total was $49.97. So instead of getting $15 dollars off like it originally said I am left with no savings and 3 cents! Plus everyone that day was getting $10 gift card for shopping during construction and since there was confusing about my ticket he didn't give me one. Let me just say that when you don't get to shop for yourself $25 free is a BIG DEAL!!! So today I am returning all my clothes, getting a gift card with the amount I spent, then using my coupon to purchase the clothes again plus the $15 dollars extra I can't wait to find and walking out with that $10 coupon like every other person! I AM DETERMINED!!!!

Then I head to the doctors to fill out forms and get medical records sent over. Off to Blue Springs 40 minutes away to meet Brian for his pre-op appointment and then home to cook and clean.

Tomorrow we are going to a movie at 10 then off to get Isa a physical and come to clean and plan meals for the week.

Wednesday I pack the girls for their big sleepover at Nana and Papa's with their cousin, drop off Layla, take Isa to get her MRI and then settle everyone for the night. '

Thursday Brian has his surgery and then about 11 or 12 we should have the MRI results from Isa. Then I come home get everyone settled and fixed and pass out.

Anyone want to trade me weeks? I mean really who has time for ALL THIS and somehow stay sane. But thankfully I have friends and family to help and if I can remember what I need them to do long enough to ask I might survive.

But today the moment of the day is this....
Sisterly love....
I am so glad that I was crazy enough to have kids this close together. 19 months is close but in return they are indeed super close. They take care of each other and love one another more than I ever understand. At times I think they might as well be twins because they truly are that inseparable.

Moments

Things are kind of crazy around here and I am trying to keep myself sane. So for a while I am going to try to post pictures and the moments I want to remember most about life right now.

Things going on in our life right now....
Isa gets an MRI sometime this next week which will help us narrow down what is going on.
Grandma Thompson (my mom's mother) is moving into a nursing home out here which meant a LOT of packing and moving, post to come for all cousins to enjoy!!!
My little Sister is due soon. It is crazy but my baby sister is going to have a baby.  She is hands down the most beautiful pregnant woman to live. I must get a good photo of her soon but for now this one will have to do.
This is my moment of the day....

Isn't the miracle of life great... ah I can't wait to see little Jada Lin!

Headed to the ER

For all those non Facebook stalkers I thought I would give you a quick update. Miss Isa had a hard night on Tuesday night. She woke screaming and freaking out times a thousand. At first we thought it might be a night terror like Layla has. When it happened again that night it wad much worse. We didn't feel right about it so we headed to the ER. She checked out fine so we went home.

The next night was just like any other so we assumed everything was good. When it happened again last night it completely sent us into worth. Since she was awake and talking with us when one of the episodes accured we were able to rule out dreaming. So the pediatric nurses suggested we talk her to our children's hospital this afternoon.

Of course life has to make things difficult so today I am babysitting, my mom is moving my grandma, Brian is working, and my dad is busy. But it all worked out and we will be heading out soon. Hopefully all is normal and we are worried for nothing. But being a parent means freaking out and praying tons. Guess that is how we learn big life lessons right.

randomness is always good right!

I have a second before the children need to be tended to so I thought I would post this picture really quick. We are counting down the days until Brian starts school so in that honor, here he is on campus with the girls. They are SO proud of their daddy!

P.S. So am I!
