Layla's Birthday

We have established a tradition in our house that we do friend parties every other year. Layla gets her parties on odd birthday years and Isa does her's on even years. So this was a family party year for Layla. We did her favorite dinner at panda express and then went to Incredabowl to do a round of bowling and miniture golf. They had a blast.

The birthday girl got all things for her baptism. She got scripture with her cute new case, her dress, shoes, headband, coat and necklace for the big day. And there were a few toys and more clothes but mostly just stuff to help make this year a big memory on what is really important.

 We had trunk or treat on Saturday which was a great teaching moment for our two new trick-or-treaters. They are big fans of being called cute and then getting Candy!

 

Then it was time to head out and have some fun!

Christmas in November

 Since Grandma came into town for the Baptism we went ahead and did Christmas in November. The girls had a great time and Damon got a sneak peek into the world of present opening. He is a big fan!

And then we ended the night with some book reading with Grandma! 

Layla's Special Day

Saturday we had an amazing time celebrating with Layla as she took a very special and important step and choice to be baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. We tried to find moments to make that day special for her. Here are some photos. I will post my thoughts a bit later when I have more time and sleep enough to give it due diligence.
