Pictures from thanksgiving!

The drive was long like 18 hours long but the girls did really well and by the end they were buddies holding hands! I don't think that we will be driving that far again anytime soon but I am really glad we went and suprised everyone, well worth the trip!

Everyone was so excited to finally make it to Grandma and Grandpa's!!!

We were really excited to go back to this great hamburger place in Leawood. And it was nice that the night we went they had a balloon guy who mad amazing things for everyone!

The girls had so much fun playing with their cousins. Layla just followed everyone around thinking everything they did was just so cool. Isa enjoyed just hanging around trying on everyones shoes. She has a new obsession with them, don't ask me why! And we all enjoyed a great meal that had more food then you could ever imagine!

Thanksgiving Surprise!

We are home from our surprise trip to Kansas to see my family. The whole family was there so we thought that we would go out and join them since we decided to spend christmas at home. It was such a good trip and the look on my parents faces when they found us sneaking around in the kitchen at 4 am was priceless. (And totally worth the 18 hour drive!) We will post pictures soon!

Deathly Flu!!!

So for the first time ever I am happy to say that little Layla is the only one in the house to NOT get sick. Isa caught the flu and was mildly sick for a couple days. Brian and I did our best to fight it off but Tuesday it got the best of us and we have been barely surviving until last night. I think this is the sickest I have been in so long. The girls pretty much were on their own this week but luckily didn't destroy the house. I am happy to say that we are finally up and about and feeling better. But I think it took between the two of us a whole bottle of Excedrin migraine, pepto, Imodium, laxative, and whatever else we could find to finally get rid of it. Brian of course had spent a good deal of time last week telling me that the flu shot is SO NOT WORTH IT. I think after this week he would gladly get a shot to avoid a week of what we went through. But I have to say that I would rather be the one sick then little Layla and all 26 pounds of her. I love the girl but she is so hard when her little body gets sick! But we are better and ready for a very fun and surprising Thanksgiving!!!

Loving the heels!

So the girls have hit a new stage of being girlie, they love to wear heels. Layla of course got a new pair with her princess outfit. Isa likes to borrow my real heels. She had tons of fun on Sunday during church when she wore my heels around Relief Society and caught the attention of everyone around us. But it is fun to watch because i have a dozen or so pictures of myself dressed up in my mom's heels. Like mother like daughter I guess!

Special Dinner for Two!!!

The girls are so dang cute together when they are in the mood to play and not fight. Last night brian was napping when the girls were ready to eat so instead of just the girls eating I thought a dinner for two might be nice. They had so much fun and really were too cute for words!

The BIG THREE!!!!

I was really proud of my birthday cake this year. Last year I made a Pablo Cake but this year was all about the princess castle. It was scary to make because i was sure it would fall over but to my surprise it came out pretty good. (Plus it tasted great!)

Layla totally loved the fact that it was her birthday! She made us sing her the birthday song about 20 times, but it was fun! She also for the first time really understood presents and opened them with such excitement! It was so much fun to watch. And her outfit is thanks to grandma and grandpa. She opened her princess costume and still won't take it off!

The girls had such a great time with the teaparty set. They sat and eat their cake and icecream at their little table. I am glad that we gave this to Layla now instead of christmas because it is by far her favorite toy and Isa actually gets to play with her too!

Trick or Treating!!!

The girls had suck a great time trick or treating. It was nive to take them out and never hear a single whine from either girl. They were the best! And Little Isa was so excited to get to the next house that she was constantly tripping over her own feet. She even started muttering what I can only guess was "trick or treat" in infant! But all in all it was the best night ever for all of us!

The end of the night we all curled up on the couch and watched a halloween movie... a perfect end to the best halloween since I was a kid!
