And something I didn't know until I did it myself is that the signature only comes to new posts! It will appear in your new post box like the one I am typing in everytime and you just have to hit enter and type above it. At first I was a little disappointed this is how it worked but then I got used to it and figure I love the way it looks on the blog so I can deal with a little enter now and then!
